Once upon a time, Steinar and Heidi met at Capernwray Bible School, England, in 2000. They were married in Norway in 2006 and their first two children were born there. After five years together in Norway, they felt lead to serve in a Christian Mission organization called Esperanza Ministries. They joined the ministry of Esperanza in August, 2011 and feel deeply blessed o be a part of what happens there.
Steinar is an ordained Lutheran Minister. Although born in the States he was raised by his Norwegian parents in Sandnes, Norway. Steinar has deep roots in the church and is passionate about sharing God's love by the way he treats others.
Heidi has a BA in Human Services and Chemical Dependency Counseling. Although raised in Seattle, Washington, her roots run deep on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Heidi is passionate about caring for those who are impacted by oppression, substance abuse and dependency, family violence and child welfare through faith, hope and love.
Annabelle (4), Benjamin (2) and Solveig (newborn and not pictured) are their children, whom they feel honored to know and raise.
We, Steinar, Heidi, Annabelle and Benjamin, would like to extend our deepest gratitude for being welcome to serve on the coast.
